Time dimensions in the dataset

A time dimension is a dimension field that contains date information. In the sample dataset, all date values are stored in the Date column. Power BI automatically creates a date hierarchy from this column, thereby creating the fields Year, Quarter, Month, and Day. Use these fields as time dimensions when analyzing your data.
